Cockermouth Rock Festival Directions     Weather

The Cock Rock site is just south of Cockermouth by the junction of the A66.

From the South:

Exit the M6 at junction 40 at Penrith and travel west on the A66 for Keswick and Cockermouth. After 29 miles, you'll reach a roundabout at the A5085. Take the 2nd exit on the left and continue up through the trading estate to the festival site beyond.

From the North:

From Carlisle, take the A595 for Aspatria and Cockermouth, via Castle Way, Church St and Wigton Rd. Travel 4 miles beyond the city limit to the Thursby roundabout and take the 2nd exit for the A595 to Cockermouth. After 18 miles, you'll reach a roundabout (signposted as Cockermouth to the left and A549-Maryport to the right) where you take the 2nd exit to carry straight on. After 1 mile you'll reach another roundabout where you take the 2nd exit onto the A66 heading east. At the next roundabout take the 4th exit and continue up through the trading estate to the festival site beyond.
To by-pass Carlisle, exit the M6 at junction 44, taking the 5th exit for Workington via the new Carlisle western by-pass. Continue following the by-pass for 5 miles, through 8 roundabouts. At the 9th roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the A595. Continue for 3.7 miles to the Thursby roundabout and take the 2nd exit (A595) to Cockermouth.
