At Sessile Oak, we are committed to building quality green oak framed buildings whilst maintaining as small a carbon footprint as possible. Our construction timber is sourced from sustainably managed and certified woodlands, through reputable suppliers.
This responsible use of green oak ensures the continued management and survival of oak and mixed broadleaved woodlands, together with their associated habitats and wildlife. Where possible, we use high quality reclaimed materials for our carvings and sculptures.
Fossil fuel consumption is kept to a minimum. Whilst maintaining an economic and reliable timber supply, preference is given to local material and haulage suppliers where practical.
